Troy's Warbirds Gunsights and Converter
Here are the only gunsights I use at the moment. Right click on the pictures to get the code for hi-res and save in your Warbirds directory. If you are a lo-res user, use my converter below to adjust and save with a "1" rather than a "3" in the name.
| This is a site that I designed after studying several screen shots of myself killing cons. In 80% of my pictures I was pinging cons 200-300 yds out when they had their nose on the upper/smaller dotted arch. The goal with this site is to put the nose of the con on this arch and have it aimed towards the center aim. Start shooting and correct as needed. This is mainly for low deflection shots from con's 6 position. Most of my kills are made in between the 2 semi circles.

| This sight is for the P39d. The plane is equipped with a very effective 37mm cannon. This sight is like my default one, but with 2 hash marks added by myself. They are set for hitting cons at 300 yds in level flight, such as bombers, with the 37mm cannon. Just aim slightly higher if farther than that. It is also a good reference when strafing with the 37mm. I suggest saving it as ju87d3.gst also for the Stuka's double 37mm gun pods.

| Also like my default, but with markers added by myself, this sight is for launching torpedoes. Make your attack perpandicular to the cv's path and when the ship fills the void, let go your fish. The sight is optimized for a ship of the cv's length, so drop early for shorter ships. By pure coincidence, the sight works great on the shorter, but faster, dd's in the New Guinea arena (drop late for troop ships). You may also want to save this site as ju88a3.gst and IJNdef3.gst for the other torp planes.

| I made this sight using an original by buzzer. It is for low altitude attacks specifically by the B25h. When flying 200ft above target at 240mph, your bomb will hit where the 'X' is. The middle hash was prior to version 2.6 for rockets. Rockets were remodeled and now the circle sight works fine for them. However the middle hash is a good guide when dropping skip bombs aimed at shipping. The upper hash is for use of the B25h's 75mm cannon and is set for 1000 yds.

| I created this generic circle sight and works great as a turret gunner's sight on bombers. In this situation cons are coming at all angles of attack and the circles allow for this. The bore of the sight is open so you can better see strikes on cons.

GUNSIGHT CONVERTER
This utility will allow you to convert gunsite files from one resolution to another.
Copy the original site code and paste into the left text area.
Push the appropriate button.
Now, copy the code in the right text area and paste into a text utility (like Notepad) and save it as your .gst file in the Warbirds folder.
Words of note:
Due to rounding and such, going from hi to low res will not always be perfect, adjust as needed.
2D and 3D sites also differ, this utility does not handle that.
ALWAYS back up your old files, I am not responsible for lost files!
This will only work on LEGITIMATE gun code in the form of:
# --number of lines
#,#,#,# --code
#,#,#,#... --every line followed by a {RETURN}
Script by: Phenix **please keep my name associated with this script if you copy it**
